Treacle and Ink

About me

Once upon a time there was a writer called Alice Klein. She wrote a book – some people even said it was a good book – and vaguely hoped she might write another some fine day, but it never seemed to come to pass. Her publisher, Penguin, even tried to involve her in, but she knew she wasn’t quite up to the task. But life’s not so bad. She’s come to London for a new adventure in the world of books: running a little bookshop while the owner’s away. It’s a brand new start, and it begins right here.

  1. hi alice!
i can totally sympathise with the ideas thing, i really don’t know how some people manage to be creative on demand! what was your first book about? i work in a second-hand bookshop once a week too and i absolutely love it, so nice to be surrounded by books and have your pick of which ones to try out when the shop is quiet. hope the new job goes well 🙂

  2. Hi Alice,

    Loving the blog!

Don’t suppose you’ve seen a giant black hare hopping about have you?

Keep an eye out because I think that mirror of yours might be more than meets the eye.
